Social Activities

Many lifelong friendships have been forged in the Piedmont Bird Club. Sometimes we just get together minus the hiking boots, field guides and binoculars. In addition to a half-hour social time before each monthly program, we schedule several opportunities throughout the year to relax and enjoy one another's company. Family, friends, and other guests are always welcome at PBC's social activities.

It’s always a pleasure to share a meal with friends. The spring and fall picnics provide us the opportunity to eat well, enjoy the company of friends, and become better acquainted with new or potential club members. Depending on the location, the meal is usually preceded by a short bird walk.

Holiday Dinner and Members’ Photo Show
Good food, good company, good photos, … and PRESENTS!  What a fine way to celebrate the holidays with birding friends. PBC members and their guests always look forward to the annual Holiday Dinner, held in early December, where they are treated to a catered dinner, a photo show of club members’ finest nature photographs, party favors, and door prizes for everyone. Advance reservations required.
