2022 Christmas Bird Count Report

The first official Christmas Bird Count in Greensboro was held in December, 1941, making our 2022 count the 81st. Fifty-five birders took part in the count, putting in a total of 65 miles on foot and 299 miles by car. A total of 14,855 birds were counted, comprising 97 species – one of the largest total counts and species counts we’ve had in the last 25 years.
