Sora Rail

I photographed the Sora Rail on Sept. 24, 2005 in the parking lot of
Quaker Village, close to the Fresh Market. It allowed me to approach to
within about six feet. This is a first-year bird, I think.  This was between
Hurricanes Ophelia and Rita, in the height of the storm season.  Although
Greensboro was not directly affected by these, I think the unusually high storm activity  must have contributed to this bird's being "lost."
