GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET

These pictures weren't chosen because they are especially good ones, they are simply the best I could get at the time. This winter visitor darts quickly in its mission for food, hunting tiny insects and such. If you don't get a chance to see the gold crown on the top of its head, it can be distinguished from the Ruby-crown by the stripe across the eye, as can be seen in the photo to the left. The Ruby-crown has a white ring around the eye.
