From all reports the PBC display at the Earth Day event at the KCE Family
Branch Library in Greensboro, NC. went very well. More than 100 visitors
stopped by the exhibit long enough to learn something about birds. I
appreciate very much the help of all who contributed to the success of this
event in my absence: Sally Howell who stayed all afternoon in my place,
Susan and Cal Weimer who handled the set-up and take-down, Jean Murdick who
came to help wherever needed, and those who covered the two-hour shifts:
Jane Ariel, Pat Bradley, Diane McClure and Jim Eldrett. These educational
opportunities help us meet one of the two purposes of the Club, to promote
the study and protection of birds and other natural re-sources. Accolades to
all!
